Amazon ha annunciato oggi un proprio servizio di video sharing. Una piattaforma aperta a tutti, come YouTube, in cui gli utenti potranno guadagnare con i ricavi pubblicitari.
Il servizio, battezzato col nome Amazon Video Direct, sarà avviato inizialmente in Usa, Uk, Germania, Austria e Giappone.
La sfida a YouTube si baserà sui ricavi garantiti a coloro che useranno la piattaforma. I migliori centro publisher beneficeranno di un premio in denaro, per complessivi dodici milioni dollari l’anno, uno per ogni mese.
Al momento del lancio tra i partner di Amazon Video Direct ci sono già importanti nomi: Conde Nast Entertainment, HowStuffWorks, Samuel Goldwyn Films, the Guardian, Mashable, Mattel, StyleHaul, Kin Community, Jash, Business Insider, Machinima, TYT Network, Baby Einstein, CJ Entertainment America, Xive TV, Synergetic Distribution, Kino Nation, Journeyman Pictures ePro Guitar Lessons.
