Il 28 ottobre, Julia Roberts festeggerà il suo cinquantesimo compleanno.
Un fascino, il suo, che non sfiorisce, e che viene celebrata dal settimanale People che l’ha indicata, per la quinta volta, come la donna più bella del mondo. La prima volta in cui è stata incoronata regina di bellezza era il 1991, a 23 anni. L’anno prima era stata campionessa al botteghino con il film “Pretty Woman”, in cui recitava accanto a Richard Gere.
E’ stata di nuovo premiata nel 2000, dopo il Premio Oscar per “Erin Brokovich”, nel 2005 dopo essere diventata mamma dei gemelli, e nel 2010, all’indomani dell’uscita di “Eat, Pray, Love”.
In un’intervista rilasciata a Jess Cagle, a margine del riconoscimento, l’attrice si è detta lusingata e serena per il futuro. “Non ho paura del tempo che passa – ha commentato – l’importante è invecchiare con eleganza. Chissà, tra 26 anni quando sarò nonna potrò viziare i miei nipotini…”
